Do you wrestle with doubt? You’re not alone. Whether you’re exploring spirituality for the first time, returning after time away, or have always been part of a faith community but still have questions—this series is for you.

Many of us carry doubts and big questions about faith, God, and the Bible. We look at the pain and injustice in the world and wonder where God is. We read difficult passages in Scripture and ask: How can this reflect the love of God? We see disagreement within churches and faith communities and wonder how we move forward together.

At Christ the King, we believe that doubt is part of a healthy, growing faith. We’re a Lutheran church in Port Washington, Wisconsin, rooted in the ELCA tradition of grace, openness, and thoughtful engagement with Scripture and the world. We welcome honest questions and spiritual curiosity.

One of the most honest prayers in the Bible is found in Mark 9:24: “I believe; help my unbelief!”

That kind of faith—open, wrestling, searching—is welcome here.

Join us for a 6-week sermon series beginning September 14, as we explore big spiritual questions like:

  • Is there a God?

  • Is Heaven real?

  • Can we trust the Bible?

  • Why do faith communities disagree so much?

  • What if I’m not sure what I believe?

Whether you’re rethinking what you believe, asking questions about God, or looking for a spiritual community near Port Washington where it’s safe to be honest, you’re welcome here. We’ll reflect together on what it means to live faithfully with questions—and how wrestling with doubt can lead to deeper spiritual growth.

A Welcoming, Open Faith Community in Port Washington, WI

You don’t need to have it all figured out to belong. At Christ the King, we are a community of grace and openness, welcoming doubters, seekers, skeptics, and longtime believers alike. As an inclusive Lutheran church in Ozaukee County, we believe that questions are not threats to faith—they are invitations to grow.

Whether you’re wondering:

  • Does God exist?

  • What happens after death?

  • What if I’m not sure what I believe anymore?

  • Is it okay to question the Bible?

  • Is there a church near me that won’t judge me for having doubts?

…this is a safe space to explore those questions.

Doubt isn’t a detour—it’s part of the journey. Let’s wrestle with our questions, grow in community, and seek a deeper connection with the sacred.
