4 PM Polka Service & German Supper
Did Martin Luther enjoy polka music? He probably would have if he lived a few centuries later! After all, Luther is known to have loved music, and some of his most well-known hymns are set to familiar tunes, the popular music of his day. And of course, Luther certainly enjoyed worship, even if the style was a little less traditional! Luther may or may not have enjoyed polka worship, but we hope you will!
Join us at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Port Washington for an Oktoberfest experience on Saturday, October 5th! We’re hosting a lively Polka Worship Service at 4 PM that will have you tapping your toes and lifting your spirits. Music is prayer! Afterward, stick around for a traditional German supper featuring brats, German potato salad, and kraut—it’s going to be delicious!
This special event is open to everyone, so bring your family and friends along for an afternoon of joy, community, and great food. There’s no need to register or buy tickets—just come as you are and enjoy!
A free-will offering will be collected to help the Hurricane Helene relief efforts. To make a donation, you can do so online with the link here (just select Disaster Relief from the dropdown menu).
Don’t miss out on this unique blend of faith, fun, and fantastic food. We can’t wait to see you there!
